Then I realized that this was taking me away from the sensation of the ride. Nowadays experiencing and embracing all the different sensations that a ride gives me, the pleasure and the pain, is what makes me love cycling so much. I think earphones are not safe to wear on a bicycle. Even out walking I find myself absorbed in the music and less aware of my surroundings. So I am not totally convinced it is safe to wear them. Also if a car hits a cyclist perhaps the car driver could argue the cyclist was not paying attention?
